My older sister, April, has made one of the greatest impacts in my life. Being the oldest she has always had a great responsibility of basically playing the role of second mom. She has done everything in her power to ensure my younger sister and mine's safety. Protecting us from any hurt even if we were the ones hurting ourselves. We haven't always had the easiest life, but April stayed strong for the three of us and pushed us to overcome these issues. When I felt like giving up she reminded me to keep going and eventually all the challenges will pay off. Though we might not always meet eye to eye and have many disagreements I know that if I ever were in trouble or needed help she is one phone call away. She has been a great role model and I aspire to have even half her work ethic and intelligence. She is the reason I have pushed myself in high school and have accomplished so much. I have grown into this confident individual who strives everyday to become the best version of herself with her help. My life truly would not be the same without her and I very much appreciate all she has done.

I would say my inner animal would have to be a butterfly. Butterflies are small creatures and if you have seen me, this is also a characteristic of mine. I am a pretty small person compared to most of my classmates. A butterfly is also very colorful, when I think of something that colorful I think of bright, lively and joyous. I would say this is something that represents me well. I also try to ensure that I have a smile on my face spreading everywhere I go. A butterfly is also a representation of growth and finding true self. It first starts off as a caterpillar that hides in a cocoon and turns into a beautiful butterfly. I think for me over the years I have been a caterpillar and then sometime in high school I was in my shell. I was holding back and not in the best place of my life. Then I learned and grew and have become an even better version of myself. Similar to how a caterpillar comes out of its shell and turns into this butterfly, It has given me an opportunity to express myself completely by showing my true self.

The light that shines within
There's a hope that's waiting for you in the dark You should know you're beautiful just the way you are And you don't have to change a thing The world could change its heart No scars to your beautiful We're stars and we're beautiful Oh-oh-oh-oh, oh-oh Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh And you don't have to change a thing The world could change its heart No scars to your beautiful We're stars and we're beautiful No better you than the you that you are (No better you than the you that you are) No better life than the life we're living (No better life than the life we're living) No better time for your shine, you're a star (No better time for your shine, you're a star) Oh, you're beautiful, oh, you're beautiful There's a hope that's waiting for you in the dark You should know you're beautiful just the way you are And you don't have to change a thing The world could change its heart No scars to your beautiful We're stars and we're beautiful Oh-oh-oh-oh Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh And you don't have to change a thing The world could change its heart No scars to your beautiful We're stars and we're beautiful |
I am writing my reflection about the one and only Elias Ramirez. Elias is such a bright soul who brings joy to everyone around him. Though there are times when he can be a bit frustrating he is one of the sweetest individuals i’ve ever met. It is clear to see that he will step up whenever help is needed ,which has been seen when he took over as rally commissioner when Jaydin and Heaven couldn’t. I know if I asked him for help he would happily help me because that is just the type of person he is.Elias always asks how my day is going, or checks on how i’m doing. He is always there to listen, especially when I go on long rants. Elias brings so much to this program, he reminds me to live a little and enjoy the little things, which is something I seem to often forget. We all should be be a little more like Elias Ramirez.
